The winter season is a tremendous opportunity to make huge improvements in cycling skills. Unfortunately, in the summer when cycling out on the road there are so many barriers to improvement (like big trucks, crazy drivers, potholes, glass, fence posts, parked cars…) With some exceptions the summer season is usually only to get the miles in, build saddle time, increase endurance... unfortunately you end up focusing on so many other things that it's very easy to forget about good cycling techniques.

Good cyclists demonstrate two very specific characteristics. The first is a strong, even pedal stroke; the second is riding at a higher, consistent cadence. To work on these things, we’ll focus on very specific sets to isolate and build those skills.

Over the winter we’ll cover better shifting, application of the "cadence window" concept, climbing, descending, riding in winds and many others.

What will you need? Your bike, a stationary trainer, a cycling computer that reads cadence and lots of energy.

Cycling is a sport that is given such little technical respect - everyone can ride a bike, it's something you learn at a young age, and people think there's nothing else to learn. There definitely is! This program will benefit both the new and seasoned rider.

Space will be limited so be sure to sign up early.
